Would you like to have the building checked without disturbing its day-to-day operation?

Thermal imaging services in DEKRA

Thermovision allows the temperature distribution, in inaccessible and dangerous places, to be assessed. The measurements’ results allow the safety level and the quality of individual elements in the facility, to be determined. This service is provided both for buildings in the process of being constructed, as well as for buildings already in use. It is a non-contact method which in no way disturbs the operation or integrity of a given element.

Areas in which DEKRA provides thermal imaging services:

Construction

For residential, service, public and production facilities

  • At the hand-over of the facility, thermal imaging allows the quality of the insulation works, already carried out, to be assessed, in order that future heating and repair expenses may be kept to a minimum
  • Thermal imaging allows the condition of the thermal insulation to be assessed, in order to detect points where the building’s heat may be escaping
  • Thermal imaging allows the quality of the assembly of the windows to be evaluated for air-tightness, in order to detect points where cold air may be entering the building
  • Thermal imaging allows those locations which may be subject to mould growth, to be identified and also pinpoints those areas with pre-existing fungal infestations
  • Thermal imaging allows the causes of heat loss to be determined and indicates the best way to rectify this problem
  • Thermal imaging detects roof leakage

Manufacturing industry

  • Examines the state of the thermal insulation of pipelines and heat networks, detects leaks and checks for lack of air-tightness
  • Helps to diagnose production lines and technological processes and detect faults in machinery and devices
  • Provides the non-contact measurement of high temperatures and the temperature monitoring of physical and chemical transformations

Electric switchboards

  • Thermal imaging is a method for the contact-free measurement of high temperatures and the monitoring of physical and chemical changes
  • Thermal imaging detects such defects as corroded or loose electrical connections, the load of current paths, maximum temperatures exceeded in devices and materials
  • Thermal imaging allows irregularities to be detected early on, in the development stage

Why DEKRA?

DEKRA carries out Thermovision testing using modern, thermal imaging cameras. Once testing has been completed, experts prepare a report with photographic documentation and an interpretation of the phenomena observed.

Other DEKRA services at the operation stage of the facility include:
