DEKRA is actively involved in popularising certified sustainable buildings on the Polish market; these are more economical than conventional investments while, at the same time, being more comfortable, having been designed with respect for the natural environment.

Also worth mentioning, among the benefits for investors in green construction, is the lower rate of sickness leave and the even higher percentage of more highly qualified employees, in addition to the reduction in the greenhouse gas emissions and pollutants produced and the reduction in the costs of utilities, such as electricity, heating, water and sewage.

DEKRA also certifies residential buildings; these sustainable buildings afford a much higher quality of life by providing fresh air and greenery, lower noise levels and the optimal lighting of their apartments.

DEKRA's services in the field of sustainable construction:

  • LEED certification
  • HQE certification
  • BREEAM certification
  • Construction Product Green Card – this summarises the requirements of BREEAM, LEED or HQE for building certification systems for a given construction product and describes exactly how the requirements of a given system are to be complied with. For each requirement which, in DEKRA's assessment applies to a given product, a separate summary is prepared and placed on the Green Card. The rôle of the Green Card is to facilitate the assessment of constructed properties and the impact they have on the obtainment by a building, of a BREEAM, LEED or HQE certificate.
  • Expert analysis (energy modelling, LCA analysis, LCC, natural light analysis, thermal comfort analysis, thermovision measurements)
