Cookies Policy

DEKRA Polska Sp. z o.o., with headquarters in Warszawa, ul. Rzymowskiego 28, as the owner and administrator of a www.budownictwo.dekra.pl internet service (hereinafter: Service) provides the following information regarding the application and use of the website cookies in the Service:

What are "cookies" files?

Cookies files are computer data sent by a website and stored on the terminal (e.g. on the computer hard drive) of the Service User. Usually, they are simple, text files containing the name of the originating website, their storage time on the terminal device and a unique number.

Cookies are used in such as questionnaires, statistics and counters, pages accessible after logging in and to monitor visitor activity.

Cookies parameters allow only the server which created them to read the information contained in them.

What are "cookies" for?

Cookies are used, among other things, to:

  • adapt web content to the preferences of the Service User and to optimise website use; in particular, they allow recognition of the Service User's device and display the web page, properly tailored to his/her individual needs;
  • ensure the proper functioning of the Service through its monitoring (e.g. using tools that collect visitor statistics);
  • create anonymous statistics which help in understanding how Service Users benefit from websites; this allows both their structure and content to be improved;
  • maintain the Service User's session after logging in, in order to allow the User to use the Service without re-typing his/her login and password;
  • Cookies, placed on the terminal equipment of the Service User, may also be used by partners co-operating with the Service owner.

Types of cookies:

Two basic types of cookies can be used in the Service: "session" cookies and "persistent" cookies. Session cookies are temporary files that are stored on the User's end device either until log out time, or the website has been left, or until the software, that is, the web browser, has been disabled. Persistent cookies are stored on the User’s terminal for the time period specified in the parameters of the cookies or until they are deleted by the User.

In addition, the following types of cookies can be used by the Service:

  • "Essential" cookies enabling the use of the services available within the Service, for example, authentication cookies, used for services that require authentication through the Service;
  • Cookies used to ensure safety, for example, to detect authentication fraud in the Service;
  • "Performance" cookies enabling information about the use of the Service websites to be collected;
  • "Functional" cookies enabling the "remembering" of settings and the personalised parameters selected by the User of the interface, for example: the language or region of the User, font size, website appearance, etc.;
  • "Advertisement" cookies enabling delivery of advertising content more tailored to the User's interests.

How can saving “cookies” be disabled?

In many cases, the software used to browse websites (a web browser) allows cookies to be stored on the User's terminal by default. A website’s Users can make changes to the cookies’ settings at any time. These settings can be changed in such a way as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser configuration or to flag them up, every time they are placed on the website User's device. Detailed information about the possibilities and ways of handling cookies are available in the software (web browser) settings, for example:

What happens if you turn "cookies" off?

Please be advised that any restrictions as to the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities available on the Service websites.
